Pergamano poppets Christmas fairy

Hello and welcome to my little crafting corner.

This week, the lovely Andreja has set us a wonderful challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown to use fairies on our cards.  I looked through my stamp library and realised I’d not used this pretty little Christmas fairy stamp before.  Her name is Pru, one of the Pergamano mini poppets fairies from Clarity Stamp.

I stamped her using nocturne versafine clair ink and coloured her using watercolour pencils, then die cut using a stitched circle die by Stampin Up.  I decided to make it look like a bauble by adding a topper and string die cuts in old olive card by Stampin Up.

I added a little dazzling diamonds glitter to her wings using my quickie glue pen, mounted her on real red card, adding strips of dsp along the edges – great way to use up my scraps.

Finally I stamped a sentiment direct onto the base card.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join this fab challenge this week.

Enjoy your weekend

Pretty pines

Hello and welcome.

So happy to be joining the lovely ladies at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown again this week, with Majda’s last challenge for October.  This is a fun tic-tac-toe challenge, so there are lots of options to choose from.  I chose the bottom row of the tic-tac-toe board – die cut, deer and embossing…

I love the deep embossing of the 3D textured impressions embossing folder, Christmas tree pattern by Sizzix – so Christmassey…

I had a selection of Christmas greenery, die cut from various shades of green.  I sponged ink to the edges of some, and used markers to add shading to the centre of others.

I played around with the die cuts until I was happy with the arrangement and adhered them to the die cut ovals.

I challenged myself further to use only things from my scrap box on my desk.  These were all bits and bobs from past projects that had gone unused… until now. I’m really happy with how it turn out.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week – we’d love to see your beautiful cards.

Enjoy your weekend
