Hi and welcome to my blog. It’s colour week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, and the challenge is to use silver, grey and white …

This one was a challenge to photograph too – all that silver mirri card reflected the surrounding colours, so there are dark areas on the photo, but the card it is so pretty in real life, layered on smoky slate and whisper white cardstock …

I used frost white shimmer paint to stamp the background – it gave a lovely shine and added interest to the card …

The reindeer die cut was given to me by my friend, Debs, and I’d been longing for a project to use it on, so was delighted to be able to use it for this week’s challenge.
I added a frosted finishes embellishment to a punched snowflake for some added glitz and glamour, and attached to the organza bow with glue dots …

I hope you like my card for this week. The rest of the Design Team have created lots of lovely cards to inspire you too, so do pop over to 52 Christmas Card Throwdown to take a look. We hope you’ll join us too.
I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.

Very elegant, Gill! I haven’t had any luck stamping with the shimmer paint, but you’ve done a fantastic job with it. The perfectly shaped bow is terrific topped with the sparkly embellie.
