Quick and easy punch art Easter bunny and tutorial…

With Easter being early this year, despite the snow outside, I decided to make some super cute punch art  Easter cards for my friends and family, using Stampin’ Up punches and some of their gorgeous designer series paper.

The first one for my best friend, Debs, using the Birds of a Feather dsp –

I really like the pastel colours of the designs in this set of papers, and how cute the egg pattern looks on the flower pot.

I added a sentiment from the teeny tiny wishes set, stamped in marina mist, punched out with the word window punch and layered onto a modern label punched shape, with a few white gel pen doodle dots for highlights.  I also tied a small bow from 1/4″ stitched grosgrain ribbon, and adhered it with a glue dot.

I loved this cute little guy so much I made another, this time a 6″ x 6″ card using the Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp from the spring/summer catalogue …

I love those fluffy clouds and the pretty Easter colours of the striped paper too …

Would you like to make one of these cute bunnies yourself?  It’s really easy!

You will need the following Stampin’ Up punches …

extra large oval
large oval

and for the eyes and nose? ….

the paper doily sizzlit – found on page 191 of the main catalogue …

you know those bits you usually poke out and throw away?  Well don’t dispose of them … they are the perfect shapes for eyes and noses!  Cut one doily in whisper white, and one in basic black.  Not only will you have a large supply of punched pieces to use on your cute bunnies, but you’ll have two gorgeous doilies for use on your other projects too!

I have a free tutorial showing how to make the punch art bunny here.

And there you have it – a super cute, quick and easy punch art bunny to use on your projects.  Just change up the colours and the bunny could be used for baby or children’s projects too.  Hope you have fun making him!
