Happy Halloween anniversary card with the new thinlits card dies from Stampin’ Up!

Happy Halloween to you!  If you enjoyed the Halloween tag treats I made, I hope you are going to like what I have for you today.

Two of my very good friends got married on Halloween.  Their wedding guests got into the “spirit” of the occasion (hee, hee) and dressed up in Halloween costumes for the party – how fab!

So for their anniversary card, I used some of the fabulous witches brew designer series paper together with the brand new thinlits card dies from Stampin’ Up to make this Halloween inspired anniversary card …

Halloween anniversary

The witches brew dsp is very ornate, with just a hint of an odd spider or two, so it was perfect for making an anniversary card … literally with a twist …

You get all the added dies in the pack, as well as the main die to cut out the flip card shape.  So there are lots of bits and bobs to decorate your cards beautifully with.  You can see a Stampin’ Up video demonstrating how the dies work here.

And I didn’t stop there – inspired by Pinterest, I had fun making some candy gifts for my neighbourhood trick or treaters …

Halloween tag treats using the new envelope punch board … with a little bit of pumpkin punch art…

I was asked by Michelle Last to design and demonstrate a project for a group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators at a local craft day in Frodsham last weekend.  More on the project I designed coming up in a later post, so please do pop back again to see that.

When we get together at craft events we love to share swaps – it’s a way of getting to know each other, chat and to share ideas.  For my swaps, I used the new envelope punch board from Stampin’ Up to make some Halloween tag treats…

I used the  witches brew designer series paper teamed with pumpkin pie and basic black cardstock, and made 4 different pattern ways.  A chocolate mint fit just right in the centre of the punch art pumpkin …

At the craft day, I demonstrated how to make the tag, and the tab top, using the new envelope punch board.  The file folder that the tag was sitting in was also made using the punch board – so many uses for this fantastic new craft tool – it’s not just for envelopes!  You can see a Stampin’ Up video tutorial on my videos page here (scroll down and look for the envelope punch board).  These tags would be great for adding to scrapbook pages or mini books …
