Handmade advent calendar

Hello and welcome to my craft space.

A little something different this week – an advent calendar I made for last Christmas but hadn’t had chance to share with you…

It’s difficult to see quite how large it is in the photograph, but it’s approximately 9″ x 10″.

and it needed to be deep to accommodate the daily presents inside …

The inside is my favourite – all colourful and sparkly and such fun – just like Christmas should be.

I saw the idea on Ann’s youtube channel, and she’d got the idea from Lou Scrap. It’s good to see both and make your own adaptions as necessary, like I did.

*tip – the battery pack for the tiny lights needs to be hidden in one of the top boxes, so put the #1 box on the top row, otherwise the recipient gets to open a box too early!

It’s a great project for using up scraps – I used tiny squares of different dsp for the front of each box.

There are lots of Christmas in July projects around at the moment, so why not give it a go?

  1. Love it, reminds of Banff when you’d take a tumble and I’d ski over to help you up xxx
