I’m Gill, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that crafting has been woven into my life since day one. My journey began with my lovely mum, Lily, whose talent for turning the ordinary into something extraordinary inspired the name of this blog. From knitting and crocheting, to sewing and flower arranging, she introduced me to the magic of creating with your own hands. Her boundless creativity sparked my lifelong love for all things crafty.

Fast forward to 2005, and my wonderful husband surprised me with a gift voucher for crafting supplies for my birthday. Little did he know, that single gift would set off an incredible adventure! What started as a few items stored in a shoebox quickly grew into a passion that now fills most of our dining room, which has been transformed into my dream craft room. Lucky, right?

I find joy in sharing my crafting journey with friends, family, and anyone else who loves getting creative. My days are filled with card making, papercrafting, and lots of happy messes—because for me, crafting is more than a hobby; it’s my therapy. It’s what lifts my spirits, brightens my days, and fills my heart with joy.

As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort.” That’s exactly what crafting is for me—a source of endless happiness and creative thrill.
