Lilies for Lily – an everyday enchantment …

Well, my cake class has finished for the summer, so I have a break now until class starts again in the autumn term.

For our final project we made lilies. I had lots of homework to do, as well as class time, but here’s my finished cake – all made from sugar – what do you think?

The lilies took hours of work, but they were hours of fun too!  They are not perfect but they are not bad for a first attempt.

My mum would have loved it, and I finished the cake on what would have been her birthday last weekend – this only made me think of her even more than usual – lilies for Lily… *

Do you remember this floral card I made a while back?

I made if for my cake teacher as she loves Cath Kidston, and this was my tribute to Cath Kidston using the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper. *This beautiful paper is available for a limited time only and on special offer for £9.95 a pack. Also,  with every £45 you spend you will also receive a matching accessories pack FREE. So, give me a call, or drop me an email, and I’d be happy to help you get your freebies.  *

  1. Absolutely amazing that you crafted these!!! Beautiful and job well done. You fooled me with your sugary version of what looks so perfectly REAL.

  2. Hi Gill
Your cake is amazing. I used to attend sugar craft classes with a lady Nr Bicester, and am aware of the time, and patience, that the sugar lillies must have taken. The finished result is beautiful. Are you making your daughters wedding cake?
    Love Sheila x
