Hello and welcome to my blog. This week’s challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is to use real stitching …
Initially, I had all these ambitious ideas of making a stitched Christmas tree with added beads, from a form-a-line pattern I had years ago, but could I find the pattern? Heck no! I know it’s in my craft room somewhere… maybe one day, when I’m not looking for it, I will find it and make it again.. after all I still have all the silvery threads and shiny beads to use! So instead, I made use of the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit by Stampin’ Up I found in my stash, added images from the Endless Wishes stamp set and layers of cardstock …
I stamped the snowflake faintly in sahara sand ink to give me a pattern to follow, and then used my poky tool to make holes where the lines intersected. I stitched the snowflake with thread from the kit and finished off with shiny stars and a rhinestone for some Christmas sparkle…
