Hello and welcome.
I am delighted to be hosting the challenges at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this month. The first challenge of the month is always a sketch. I used the gorgeous papers and ephemera from the Spellbinders card kit to make my card…

I did a bit of fussy cutting around the largest of the ephemera foliage, which was pretty easy to do and eliminated some of the white border so it didn’t hide too much of the pretty background paper.

I added a strip of plain white card behind the circle die cut, which was left over from my shaker card from last week – I love being able to use up my scraps!

There is so much to choose from in the ephemera pack in this kit. I thought the swan was so beautiful and the pastel colours worked so well with the papers too.

I added a cluster of foliage and a ribbon from the ephemera pack popped up on foam adhesive, and finished off with a sprinkling of gold half-back pearls from my stash.
I hope you’ve been inspired to get creating. The ladies at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown have made some beautiful cards for your inspiration too and we’d love you to join us.
Enjoy your weekend

Such a great card. I had fun creating with your sketch and I too got to use up some of my scraps for my creation. Love being able to do that; I feel like I can justify keeping my scraps 🙂
quelle merveille Gill, elle est trop belle et douce, biz
Wonderful with all those pastel colors!
Your card is so gentle and “winter quiet.” I love those papers! A great sketch and lends itself to using our beautiful paper and ephemera leftovers. Smiles, Kathy
