Hi and welcome to my blog. This week, it’s a colour challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, in shades of blue. Last Christmas day was so magical, watching the snow gently falling on an already beautiful, white, winter-wonderland of Iceland. So, out came my beloved serene snowflakes stamp set to make this card (pretty name for the stamps too, huh?) …
The main panel was made by stamping the snowflakes in versamark ink, then heat embossing with white embossing powder on whisper white cardstock. Then I sponged over the panel in three shades of blue ink – soft sky, tempting turquoise and night of navy, all by Stampin’ Up.
The panel was then matted and layered on more whisper white card, and attached to an A6 sized night of navy base card. The sentiment was also heat embossed in white.
A simple white taffeta ribbon, tied in a bow, added a little texture and softness to the card, and two small jingle bells tied on with some linen thread completed the look.
I hope you like my card for this week.
