Stampin’ Up! birthday gift voucher …

It’s my sister-in-law’s birthday this week, and I know how just much she LOVES papercrafting, especially when it comes to Christmassy things.  So when I was contemplating what to get her for a present, I thought what better than to give her a gift voucher to spend on Stampin’ Up! goodies, so she can buy herself all the lovely new things she wants from the new autumn/winter catalogue…

I made a gift card wallet to put the voucher in from whisper white cardstock, stamped with the sweet swirls wheel (soon to be retired) with the new illuminate pigment ink, available in the autumn/winter catalogue.  I punched out a label to act as the wallet closure, just like the ones I made on the happy heart kits here.

And inside was a personalised gift voucher I created on my computer, leaving the right hand side blank so I could stamp onto it.  I chose one of the flower images from the mixed bunch stamp set, stamped in so saffron ink, stamping off occasionally to give a slightly paler look.

I hope she likes it … but then, what’s not to like?!

Here’s what you need to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!

cardstock: whisper white; stamp sets: sweet swirls wheel, mixed bunch; ink: illuminate, so saffron; punches: oval, scallop oval, star; accessories: adhesive rhinestones, stampin’ dimensionals, sticky strip.

Thanks for dropping by today

Wonderful Wirral weather … nice day for a white wedding…

Not to burst into song, but oh what a beautiful morning!  The sun is shining brightly and the breeze is warm – what a great day for a wedding!

I used naturals ivory cardstock for the card base, added a layer of brushed gold cardstock and printed a computer generated sentiment onto very vanilla cardstock.  The hearts were also punched from brushed gold cardstock.

It’s very difficult to see in the photographs, but there is a line of stamping using the brand new illuminate pigment ink available in the Stampin’ Up! autumn winter catalogue, which is so beautiful in real life.  It is almost like a watermark, but then has a gorgeous sheen to it – not quite a sparkle, more like a beautiful glow … very pretty.

I added a length of gold ribbon from my stash and some adhesive pearls for an added touch of luxury.

The bride and groom could not have asked for a better day weatherwise – I am sure they will have a fabulous day.

And in complete contrast to the beautiful day we have today, a few days ago I had a lovely little visitor to my very rain-soaked Wirral garden …

He seemed to really enjoy the scraps of bacon rind I’d put out on the lawn for the birds!

Here’s what you need to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!

cardstock: very vanilla, naturals ivory, brushed gold; stamp sets: sweet swirls wheel; ink: illuminate; punches: large heart; accessories:  adhesive pearls, stampin’ dimensionals, mini glue dots, ribbon from my stash.
