Chocolate Valentine …

More projects from the recent craft night… I love the way these colours look so good together – just perfect for Valentines, but by changing the colours and the sentiment, the card could be used for an anniversary, an engagement, a wedding, or even just because …

We used the ink resist and direct to paper technique on glossy white cardstock to make the central heart, and popped it up on stampin’ dimensionals over the linen thread, wrapped around a square of textured whisper white cardstock.

And a little sweet treat box in matching colours …

All three projects together …

Margaret made us all giggle – we had sweeties to go inside the sweet treat box but she’d nearly eaten all hers by the time we came to make it!

All supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Card recipe: stamps:  I heart hearts, sentiment (retired); cardstock: whisper white textured, whisper white glossy, crumb cake, chocolate chip, real red; inks: real red, whisper white, early espresso; accessories: linen thread, chocolate chip satin ribbon,  stampin’ dimensionals, small heart punch, large heart punch, heart to heart punch, word window punch, crop-a-dile, dotted scallop ribbon border punch.

  1. What beautiful cards! I would love to know how you did your ruffle on your Valentine bag. That added such a nice touch. Thanks again for your wonderful ideas.

  2. They’re all gorgeous Gill

  3. A real feast for the eyes Gill! I love the pop of green on the sweetheart card but I really love the ‘wooden’ heart on the other card too. Vicky x
