Punch art Spiderman …

Inspired by a punch art card I saw on Pinterest, I decided to recreate it for my nephew’s birthday…

Punch art Spiderman

I used the spider web embossing folder from Stampin’ Up to add texture and then did

a little bit of sponging to add shading using sponge daubers and ink…

The punch art was adhered to a base card of bashful blue, with some whisper white clouds punched out using the cupcake punch. I placed Spiderman on a basic grey rectangle of cardstock to represent a building, and added lines freehand for the windows with my white gel pen. The hand-cut banner sentiment is from the itty bitty banners set, which I earned for free during sale-a-bration but is still available to purchase …

I really enjoyed making this card, so I hope my nephew likes it!

Here’s what I used to make today’s cards – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:

cardstock: bashful blue, basic grey, whisper white, basic black, real red, pacific point; stamp sets: itty bitty banners; inks: basic grey, real red, night of navy; punches: large oval, small oval, large circle, word window, modern label, large heart, cupcake; accessories: spider web embossing folder, big shot, white gel pen, sponge daubers, stampin’ dimensionals, tombow mutlipurpose glue.

Thanks for dropping by today

  1. Oh! so clever, love the idea, and you have done it so well, your nephew will be thrilled I’m sure.

  2. Love it Gill. I saw this as well and was going to attempt it for my grandson – 4 years old and super hero mad! Don’t have that embossing folder though so will have to improvise :0)

  3. He really looks like he is flying off of the building and ready to help someone…great job!
