I made a new baby card for Carla who gave birth to her lovely little boy the other day. Carla was one of the hens at my daughter’s party a little while ago. I made this shaped card using the scallop circle die and the two by two stamp from Stampin’ Up! in bashful blue and certainly celery …

My colour inspiration came from my stampin’ write marker pens –
I took a a few of them out of the box and loved how they looked together …

I added some stamping to the inside of the card too,
and adhered a little punched out heart in certainly celery at the top…

I made a matching envelope from a piece of retired nursery nest designer series paper,
with a stamped cardstock circle for the fastening …

My daughter went to Carla’s baby shower a few weeks ago and she asked me to make some gift boxes for the party favours. I needed to be able to post the boxes to her so neeeded something that would fold flat for posting and that she would then be able to assemble easily when it arrived. I’m lucky enough to own the pillow box die from Stampin Up, unfortunately no longer available, but it was perfect for what I needed.

my daughter then filled the boxes with jelly babies, baby confetti and some little chocolates wrapped in blue and green which matched perfectly …

Here’s what I used to make today’s projects – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:
cardstock: bashful blue, whisper white; stamp sets: two by two, itty bitty banners, baby bundle; inks: bashful blue, basic grey, black stazon, stampin’ write marker pens in bashful blue, certainly celery, crumb cake, sahara sand, so saffron, wisteria wonder, blender pen; punches: scallop circle, circle, small heart; accessories: scallop circle die, pillow box die, big shot machine, nursery nest dsp, stampin’ dimensionals, mini glue dots, whisper white taffeta ribbon, paper snips.
Thanks for dropping by today

Absolutely gorgeous Gill – how do you have the patience to make all these ? I love the cards you are making with this stamp and the envelope is so cute with the little disc label ! I must get and practiced these fork tied bows – I really struggle with bows !!! Have a lovely day ! Jane xxx
So glad you like them Jane. I don’t need patience to do papercrafting – it’s my daily therapy! 😀
And you must try making fork bows – so easy and you will love the results. Thanks for visiting, Gill xx
