Despicable me minion card …

Just for fun, and because he is still young at heart, I made this minion card for my husband’s birthday …

Minion birthday card

He had seen the new Despicable Me 2 movie at the cinema with my daughter and her husband … a new definition of taking the kids to the movies perhaps???  Although I think the kids took him to be honest…

I used all Stampin’ Up! cardstock to paper-piece this cute minion character, also called Dave!

My hubby is one in a minion (pun intended)… when I recently had some passport photographs taken, he told me I looked gorgeous (and we all know passport photos are the worst!)… so this week, I think I’ll keep him … as long as he says more stuff like that…

* * *

Here’s what I used to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:

cardstock: naturals white, pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, basic black, whisper white, pacific point, brushed silver; punches: various sized circles; accessories: stampin’ dimensionals, tombow glue, vintage trinkets, basic black marker pen, timeless type sizzlit alphabet dies (retired).

Thanks for dropping by today

  6. Omgosh… I so want to make for my granddaughter , A minion birthday card. Could you please give me a step by step Instructions . To help me make that super duper cute card. She so loves Minions… And yours is the best I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of them made . The teeth is my favorite about yours also . Yours in ink Anne

    • Hello Anne and thank you for your comment. I’m glad you liked my minion card – it was great fun to make. I don’t really have instructions for it – I just paper-pieced the little guy together from card scraps. I used circle punches from Stampin’ Up for the eyes and glasses; other than that I just cut the pieces freehand. I cut a hole for the mouth and cut individual pieces for the teeth, adhered them on the backside of the hole and then adhered a pink piece over that (if that makes sense?) Hope that helps you a little x

      • Wow , that’s unreal . Your amazing .. It’s so perfect . Don’t think I could come close … On my own Without instructions… Idk … Don’t think I’m that Creative. Thanks for your reply . I appreciate it .. Your in ink Anne
