I’m still busy making Christmas cards and gifts, but the other day I needed to turn my attention to a birthday card for my friend, Jon. Masculine cards are sometimes difficult to make, but I had a lot of fun making this 30th birthday card for him …

Based on the popular music CDs, I thought it suited Jon perfectly …

I used the gorgeous grunge stamp set from Stampin’ Up, to create a brightly coloured background, and then popped up letters and numbers cut out with the typeset alphabet bigz dies, in daffodil delight and tempting turquoise, offsetting them a little to create a 3D effect.

Here’s what I used to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:
cardstock: tempting turquoise, daffodil delight, whisper white; stamp sets: gorgeous grunge, morning meadow (hostess set); inks: tempting turquoise, melon mambo, so saffron, green galore (retired); accessories: typset alphabet bigz dies, bigshot, stampin’ dimensionals.
I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.
Thanks for dropping by today
