Life has been so busy lately that I nearly forgot to share with you the Valentine card I made for my honey…

Don’t you just love the natural composition specialty designer series paper? All that beautiful glossy embossing – it’s so lush! And it’s a heavier weight than usual – more like cardstock quality, so it’s perfect for cards …
I wanted the card to look like the message had been carved in a tree… what do you think – did it work?

The die cut and frame were popped up on stampin dimensionals to add to the carved effect, and I added a “kiss” using 2 strands of burlap ribbon, giving a little softness to the card …

The sentiment from the Love you to the Moon stamp set was stamped on the inside, and a strip of matching dsp and some punched hearts added …

And do you remember this card? I didn’t waste a thing as I made both cards at the same time – two cards for the price of one!

cardstock: naturals white, cherry cobbler, natural composition specialty dsp;
stamp sets: love you to the moon;
inks: early espresso;
punches & dies: heart framelits, expressions thinlits, timeless type alphabet die, owl punch, corner rounder;
accessories: burlap ribbon, stampin’ dimensionals.
All supplies from Stampin’ Up – contact me for details.
I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.

Did it work? ABSOLUTELY! it’s wonderful.
Fabulous Gill – it has worked beautifully !!!! I too love this DSP and the weight is just lovely for cards – I made Rosie’s 21st card with it using the botanical print sheet ( she’s a Horticulture student so it was perfect ! ) xxxx
