A festive Christmas present …

When I saw this week’s sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, I knew exactly what to make for my card.

Joyful Christmas by Stampin Up 52CCT June sketch

Poinsettias, from A Joyful Christmas stamp set, were stamped in a random pattern over a piece of whisper white cardstock in frost white shimmer paint, giving the most fabulous and beautiful look to the stamped images …

Cherry cobbler grosgrain ribbon was adhered around the card and a bow hand-tied and adhered with mini glue dots.

A label, die cut with the oval framelits, was adhered with dimensionals, and a sentiment from More Merry Messages, stamped in stazon ink, using a stampamajig for perfect placement. Some adhesive rhinestones added a little festive sparkle too…

Quick and simple to do, but so effective – I hope you agree.  Why not give the sketch a try yourself and join us at the 52 Christmas Card Challenge – it would be great to see your creations there.

And just for fun, I am entering my card in the #33 Festive Friday challenge, where their wintery, country scene photo inspiration this week, with it’s basket full of presents, seems to fit beautifully with my card.
