Hi and welcome to my blog. It’s colour challenge week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, where we would like you to use red, green with silver or gold…

I chose a red and green patterned background paper from the Nordic Christmas paper pad, which was a gift from my best friend, Debs. It has a wonderful fabric texture to it – so pretty in real life…

The paper is so lush I didn’t want to hide any of it, so simply added ribbon and a greetings tag, also from the same paper pad …

For the silver element of the challenge, I attached two silver jingle bells to the ribbon with silver elastic thread, tied in a bow, and added a punched silver snowflake, popped up on dimensionals, to the tag.
So, that’s my card for this week – no stamping, just some background paper and embellishments – I hope you like it.

The rest of the Design Team at 52CCT have some wonderful creations to inspire you, so do please pop by to look and join in our challenge. Have a wonderful week.

cardstock: naturals ivory, whisper white;
accessories: old olive satin ribbon, stampin’ dimensionals, silver elastic thread;
additional: Nordic Christmas background paper and jingle bells by Trimcraft, punched silver snowflake from my stash.
All supplies from Stampin’ Up unless otherwise stated.
I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.

I really like the stitched look of the design on the patterned paper. The jingle bells make such a cute accent! 🙂
Lovely card Gill. Thanks for the tip on my blog on using blue to make white look whiter….will definitely try it!
Hugs, Renee
Beautiful card Gill. I’m not a huge red and green fan if I’m honest but the soft shades you have used together here are just gorgeous. Stef x
