Inlaid dies technique and Christmas lights …

Hi and welcome to my blog. It’s the first challenge of February at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, so that means we have a sketch to follow. You can choose any shapes, any layers and add embellishments of your choice …

I’ve been tidying my craftroom and discovering wonderful forgotten lovelies, like this pretty Christmas paper.

It’s so pretty I didn’t want to cover it up, so stamped the greeting directly onto the paper…

I love using the inlaid dies technique, so used it again here for the topper, first stamping the tree image, before die cutting and adding it to the card …

I found a scrap of ribbon and luckily there was just enough to tie a pretty bow …

stamps: jolly jingles wheel;

inks: early espresso, green galore;

cardstock: whisper white, cherry cobbler;

dies: deco labels, oval;

accessories: glue dots, organza red ribbon from my ribbon box, paper from my stash.
