Hello and welcome to my blog. This week’s stash challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is to use metal embellishments. Inspired by a card I received in the mail last year, I made this simple punch art tree, topped with a pretty frosted embellishment from Stampin’ Up…

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set was just perfect for stamping the trunk of the tree. The stamp is meant to be part of a ribbon holding the wreath, but it’s the perfect shape for a tree trunk too. And a great sentiment from the same stamp set – the fonts are so lovely …

Punch art is great for using up card scraps too and I seem to have a mountain of those, do you?
I hope you like my card for this week. The Design Team has created lots of lovely cards to inspire you, so do pop over to 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge blog to take a look.
And I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.

This is beautiful. I do like the texture, the punched tree and that very elegant and pretty brad! Lovely work. xxx
This is my take on a card I was given at Christmas, but I was pleased how it turned out. I think the brad makes it – it’s so pretty in real life xx
Such a lovely card. The tree topper is a great touch
