Hello and welcome to my blog. This week’s challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is to choose a previous theme. I unfortunately missed some of the challenges earlier this year, so it was a no-brainer for me to start at the beginning and choose the one I missed in January – Christmas candles …

I used scraps of dsp to make these punch art candles, cutting 3 different lengths and using different patterns to form their shape. For the flames, I used the bird punch by Stampin’ Up to punch the wing from glitter cardstock and adhered them to the card with dimensionals. This punch will be retiring soon, which I’m sad about as it’s so versatile and I’ve used it so much. Whisper white cardstock was used for the background and the die cut sentiment …
