Colourful Christmas lights card

Hello and welcome.

It’s the first Saturday of the new month, so that means a sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week. Here’s my take on it …

I searched through my stash and found this dsp, which I thought fitted beautifully. I have had this paper for sooooo long! It was one of my very first purchases when I ventured into the world of papercrafting many years ago. I hoarded it for long enough, stroking it and admiring it – now, it’s fulfilled its purpose…

I matted and layered the paper on melon mambo card, and adhered it to the centre of a white square base card that I’d stitched using my sewing machine.

I added a sentiment and a die cut in melon mambo with silver topper.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week.

Enjoy your weekend

  1. That paper is awesome and I like to “visit” my stash and give it love ever so often (at my age I forget what I have if I don’t) but back to this gorgeous card…the die cut bulb is just perfect on that background! Smiles, Kathy
