White on white Christmas card

Hello and welcome.

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas this year? Well the ladies over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown sure are! Andreja’s colour challenge this week is to use white and no other colour.

Notoriously difficult to photograph, white on white cards are stunning in real life.

I partial embossed a 6 inch card base using the music notes embossing folder by Stampin Up. A line of white embossing powder, mica and glitter was added using the encrusted jewel kit by Stampendous. The snowflake was stamped onto vellum using versamark ink and then heat embossed with chunky white embossing enamel and adhered to the card. Finally, a clear jewel by Stampin Up was adhered to the centre of the snowflake.

While I had all my supplies out, I made another card using similar techniques, this time adding flat back pearls as embellishments. I think my favourite is the first one – how about you?

I hope you’ve been inspired to join in the challenge this week.

Enjoy your weekend.
