Royal wedding…

There is a lot of excitement and celebrations going on today … and I wanted to mark the occasion with a Cath Kidston inspired Union Jack card.  I love the country feel you get when florals are put together with polka dots and stripes…

I used my favourite stamp set from the new mini catalogue – baby blossoms – to create my own designer paper, by first stamping onto whisper white card with regal rose (what else!?) and old olive inks before pouncing with sponge daubers in pink pirouette, certainly celery and so saffron inks to create coloured backgrounds.  I then cut these and some dsp into shapes before adhering them to the card.

Hope you like it! It’s not an exact replica of a Union Jack – but you get the gist!

Enjoy the day!

Stampin Up supplies used:

Cardstock: whisper white; Stamp set: baby blossoms; Inks: regal rose, pink pirouette, so saffron, certainly celery, old olive, versamark; Accessories: real red and pacific point dsp, clear embossing powder, sponge daubers.

Thanks for dropping by today
