Penguin Christmas card

Hello and welcome.

It was lovely to be able to play along with the sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week.  Here is my take on it…

I treated myself to this cute little penguin die by Sizzix – there’s nothing quite like a bit of retail therapy to cheer oneself up, is there?

The background paper I have had in my stash for a long time, since I started my crafting journey in fact, so it was good to finally put it to good use!

I also treated myself to a set of snowflakes dies by Tim Holtz, and layered two together – one in silver and one in glitter card – I love the dimension this gave. I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set by Stampin Up in black stazon ink.

I can’t wait to die cut more of this cute little guy – he’s adorable!  And as it’s a bigz die, I’ll be able to cut him out in lots of different materials so I’ll be experimenting with felt and craft foam – I’m really looking forward to that!

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the lovely ladies at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown card challenge this week – we’d love you to join us.

Have a lovely weekend
