My brother-in-law is a HUGE Liverpool Football Club fan. So for his birthday present, we arranged for him and his two sons to have a tour of the ground.
They got to visit the players’ changing rooms, walk through the tunnel – touching the famous “this is Anfield” sign on the way – go in the dug out and the Kop stand, and also visit the fantastic trophy room. I don’t know who enjoyed his birthday present more – him or the kids!
So of course I had to use real red cardstock for his birthday card. A piece of real red satin ribbon was added for the tails of the football rosette…
Real red satin ribbon was perfect for decorating the birthday cake I made him too…
I attend a local college once a week to learn cake decorating, and I am loving it!
We’ve been learning and practising more techniques in cake class this term. A lot of the skills used in card making are also used in cake decorating – which is good news for me!
