A Calm Christmas …

Hi there! Have you missed me? It’s been a while, huh? I’ve certainly missed being able to share my beloved crafting with you.  I am so pleased to have joined the girls on the Design Team at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week. This simple and stunning layout has so many wonderful possibilities and I loved working with it.  I chose a DL card blank for my base, giving the design an elongated look …

I’ve not been able to craft for a while but my friend Jan encouraged me, inviting me to her house to play with her stamp sets and crafting goodies. It felt so good to be back crafting again – it’s like the best therapy ever.  We had fun laughing together as we made our cards with the stunning Stampin’ Up stamp sets and dies. My card came together so easily with the colour co-ordinated inks and papers.

Elegant eggplant ink was used to stamp the dove from the Calm Christmas stamp set by Stampin’ Up. It was then fussy cut out and mounted over top of a piece of co-ordinating dsp on a piece of whisper white cardstock. A tiny rhinestone on the bird’s eye catches the light just enough to sparkle as the card is moved around…

I hope you will join me and the rest of the team in this week’s challenge. Christmas seems a while off and yet the weeks will fly by and it will be here before we know it.  By joining in the challenge, you build a wonderful supply of beautiful, handmade cards for your friends and family without the stress and panic of rushing during those busy weeks of December, and you will truly have a Calm Christmas – just like the name of the stamp set. So please join us – we would love to see your work.

I love receiving your messages, so if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, do please leave me a comment.

Thanks for dropping by today

Ciao for now …
