There’s a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, and this week Kathy has chosen pets for her theme challenge. I didn’t have any suitable stamps, so made a punch art kitty instead…

I have made one of these punch art cats previously but it’s been a while so had to remind myself how to do it! I changed the ear a little on this version…

I made this kitty to look like my daughter’s cat, Lola, who is all white with pink paddy-paws. Poor little Lola had cancer and had an ear removed, so I decided to give her a Santa hat to keep her warm on that side, using the cool yule dies by Tim Holtz which was the perfect size.

It was so much fun making this punch art cat again! I sat her in the glittery snow against a soft sky background with white heat embossed snowflakes.
Punches used:
large oval – body and tail, ornament – head, blossoms petal builder (ears), modern label – front legs, small oval – back paws and muzzle, itty bitty circle – paddy paw, crop-a-dile – small paddy paws, heart to heart – nose, paper doily sizzlit – eyes.
I hope you’ve been inspired to join in this fun theme challenge this week – we’d love to see what you create.
Enjoy your weekend
