Frosty blue Christmas card with red accents

Hi there and welcome.

It’s time for a colour challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week – to use pale blue and red. These are not usually colours I reach for together but I found this pretty background paper in pale blue which was perfect for the background to my card…

The lovely sentiment is from the same paper pack, and I made it the focal point by mounting it on real red card and whisper white.

I added a strip of white card popped up on foam adhesive, and added the sentiment on top.

Finally, I added a sprinkle of red sequins for a little more pop of colour.

I love the sparkly background paper and love how the red looks with it too. So, no stamping this week – I let this gorgeous dsp take centre stage.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge this week – we’d love to see what you make.

Enjoy your weekend.
