Tiffany dazzling diamonds, beautiful wings and the wonders of heat and stick …

My daughter loves Tiffany – what’s not to love? – and the new Pool Party in-colour from Stampin’ Up reminds me so much of the Tiffany blue I just had to use it for her birthday card…

I cut out several butterflies in whisper white cardstock using the beautiful wings embosslit and the big shot die cutting machine.  I applied versamark ink to the largest butterfly, covered it with heat and stick powder from Stampin Up – a bargain at only £3.75 – and then heated with my heat gun.  I quickly covered the butterfly with dazzling diamonds and heat set it again with my heat gun.

The result is a beautiful, sparkling, glittered butterfly which won’t shed it’s glitter – gorgeous!

I decorated the inside of the card too …

All supplies from Stampin’ Up!

My Cherie amour…

I love that song by Stevie Wonder! I was lucky enough to see him in concert in Manchester a couple of years back. He is one of my all time favourite artists and the concert was fantastic! I had the best time! Anyway, I digress…

For this card I was experimenting with new ideas and love the shabby chic look of the tag. This style of card could be used for birthdays, anniversaries, or even Valentines…but this one went to a very special friend of my daughter…

Stampin’ Up supplies used:

Cardstock: very vanilla, real red; Inks: crumb cake, real red; Stamp sets: artistic etchings, en français; Punches: 1⅜” circle, crop-a-dile; Accessories: dsp from hostess and bella bleu sets (both retired), pewter jumbo eyelet, real red striped grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, mini glue dot, sponge daubers, stampin’ dimensionals.
