Paper mouse Christmas card …

Hello and welcome. It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means a sketch challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. I had fun making this cute paper-pieced mouse for my card, and used up some of my paper scraps to boot …

We’ve had some really wintery weather in the UK this week, with snowfall most days, and a chilly wind too.  It looks very picturesque and has been getting me in the mood to make my Christmas cards …

I just love this cute paper-pieced mouse, which was one of the patterns I purchased recently from Treasure Box Designs – isn’t he adorable?!  I sponged the edges of the card pieces in matching ink and popped him up on dimensionals …

I added some snowflakes covered in dazzling diamonds glitter, and a sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set by Stampin’ Up, stamped in versamark and black ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder…

I couldn’t resist adding some dazzling diamonds to the hat too.

I hope you like my card for this week.  We would love for you to join us at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and show us your beautiful artwork.

It’s great to hear from you, so please feel free to leave a message.

Thanks for dropping by today

  1. He is adorable and your card is bright, fresh and clean. Snow is melting here now but still a good time to stay in and craft. x
