Hi and welcome to my blog. We have a brand new hostess this month – can you believe we are into June already – where does the time go to? By now, if you’ve been joining in our weekly challenge, your stash of Christmas cards should be growing nicely. Once December comes, you’ll be able to relax, sit back and write your beautiful cards to your friends and loved ones, safe in the knowledge that you have taken the time and effort to make them a beautiful, handmade card.

I still have lots of the beautiful Nordic Christmas paper that my friend, Debs, bought for me last Christmas, and this tree pattern was perfect for the background of my card. I chose a cute image for my central tag, stamping this polar bear from the polar party set by Stampin’ Up!
Colouring this little guy in was going so well unto I made one stroke too many with my blender pen and the whisper white cardstock pilled up, making a terrible mess. It was right smack dab in the centre of the image too – pah! So I had a decision to make – do I scrap it and start over again, or do I think of a way of masking my mistake? Well, there are no mistakes in crafting as they say – just opportunities for embellishment, so that’s exactly what I did, I covered it up with dazzling diamonds, maybe a bit too much, but if you can’t have sparkle at Christmas, when can you have? I kinda like his sparkly fur … I think it makes him look very festive …
