Wood texture Christmas card with pretty pines …

Hello and welcome to my blog. For the new challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown, we want you to use wood or canvas on your project.  I used wood texture dsp, a balsa wood top note die cut, teamed with die cuts made with the pretty pines thinlits by Stampin’ Up! to make my card…

I stamped the sentiment in early espresso ink which toned beautifully with the dsp…

The pines were diecut from scraps of green cardstock, and I added shading with my stampin’ write marker pens.

I cut some of the die cuts in whisper white glimmer paper and added red stickles for the berries.

I hope you like my card for this week.  The ladies on the Design Team have created lots of inspiration for you, so why not hop on over to Christmas Card Throwdown

Pretty pine thinlits with sparkle ribbon …

There’s a brand new challenge at the Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge blog – this time a sketch.  I kept my design simple and true to the original sketch using some pretty sparkle ribbon from my stash, and added die cuts made using the pretty pines thinlits by Stampin’ Up! with a sentiment from the Christmas pines stamp set …

I used different colours of green cardstock for the diecut foliage, and added shading with stampin’ write marker pens …

I did this to the pinecones too …

Finally, I added red stickles to the berries – love that pretty sparkle!

I hope you like my card for this week. The Design Team ladies have created lots of lovely cards to inspire you and we would love for your to join our challenge, so do pop over to our Christmas Card Throwdown blog to take a look.
