This is the card I made for my husband’s birthday …
… the inside …
… the rear view …
I saw this design on the very talented Carrie’s blog and was completely wowed by it! I just had to case it as I knew it would be perfect for my hubby. I can’t believe her design didn’t win the competition she entered … it wins my vote!
I love the Plane and Simple stamp set, which is great for cards for the men in your life, and it has some great sentiment stamps included in it.
I didn’t have any suitable designer series paper so made my own using the French Foliage stamp set on very vanilla cardstock. I don’t have a photo but I also hand stamped some plain brown paper with images from the same stamp sets to make co-ordinating wrapping paper for his presents.
And to explain the Trilby hat… when we visited my daughter and her fiancé recently, the boys played on the computer game – L.A. Noire – and my husband loved it!
He is not usually interested in computer games at all, but I think this particular game appealed to his male psyche as it not only included driving fast cars and gun fights, but there were clues to find and crimes to solve.
The boys had such a laugh sitting playing the game whilst wearing Trilby hats that I just had to buy hubby one of his own …and a copy of the game too! Honestly, the graphics in this game are so good that it almost feels like you are watching a movie rather than a game, and the music is fab!
His other birthday presents included a black and red notebook and pen – I had a little theme going on – and a large magnifying glass …for solving all the clues of course!
Thanks for dropping by today.
