My new son-in-law is an IT developer and writes computer programs for phone apps, so this fun i-phone birthday card was just perfect for him …
Inspired by Melissa’s card, I used pieces of world spectacular designer series paper to mat and layer the card, and cut pieces of cardstock to make the i-phone.
I stamped the “screensaver” with the clockworks stamp set, and to make a random pattern across the horizontal strip.
Making a matching envelope to fit the square card was really easy with the simply scored scoreboard and diagonal plate…
I added a soda pop top to act as a closure, with a little cupcake from the itty bitty bits set stamped in matching ink.
Finally, I added a basics designer button tied with a length of whisper white baker’s twine in a knot, and 3 mini brads.

Here’s what I used to make today’s cards – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:
cardstock: marina mist, daffodil delight, whisper white, basic black; stamps: clockworks, happiest birthday wishes (retired), itty bitty bits; inks: basic grey, marina mist; punches: itty bitty shapes punch pack, corner rounder; accessories: white gel pen, stampin’ dimensionals, world spectacular designer series paper, designer series paper stack, soda pop top, basics designer button, whisper white baker’s twine, mini brads, paper piercer, simply scored scoreboard and diagonal plate.
