Hello everyone, hope you’re having a good weekend.
I’ve been busy card making for some upcoming birthdays, and with Christmas just around the corner, I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards too.
Over on the Less is More challenge blog today, the challenge is to use designer paper in a clean and simple way. I put my dsp scraps to good use to come up with this clean and simple Christmas card …
I added a tiny touch of dazzling diamonds glitter, and just a sprinkling of rhinestones for a little bit of Christmas sparkle.
I took inspiration for the sentiment and choice of paper from Julie Davidson’s card over on the Around the World Stampin’ Up Challenges, where this week’s challenge is old Christmas, so I’m also entering my card there too, as well as Totally Papercrafts Friday Challenges, as it also fits beautifully with their challenge.
*Edited to say: I was delighted to learn that my card made the top 3 in the Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenge! Wow! I’m so pleased!
Here’s what I used to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:
cardstock: whisper white, soft sky, winter frost dsp; stamp sets: more merry messages, festive flurry; inks: black stazon, soft sky; accessories: dazzling diamonds, 2-way glue pen, tombo multipurpose glue, adhesive rhinestones, stampin’ dimensionals, festive flurry framelits, bigshot machine.
Thanks for dropping by today
