Llama Christmas card

Hi and happy Saturday.

There’s a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown today, and being the first Saturday of the month means we have a new hostess, Fabiola, who has set us a sketch to follow.

I used some digital papers, purchased from the Lovely Studio, as the background of my card …

I had fun choosing which papers from the set to put together – I was aiming for that lush look you sometimes see in magazines for upholstery, where they mix lots of different patterns together. I think the trick is to choose patterns that have similar or complementary colours, and also patterns of varying sizes…

I’m not sure the photos do the papers justice – the colours are so pretty in real life…

I added a llama digi stamp, also by the Lovely Studio, mounted on old olive card and coloured a little with my Stampin’ Up marker pens in old olive and melon mambo…

Finally, I added some old olive baker’s twine and sequins in pink and green.

I hope you’re inspired to join the challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

Enjoy your weekend.
