Tim Holtz snowflake with brads and eyelets

Hello and welcome

For my final challenge for December at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, I chose something that we all seem to have in our stash but rarely use – brads and eyelets. I always love them when I see them online or in a catalogue, but tend to hoard them and not use them on my cards – such a shame. So, I wanted to change that and finally let them fulfil their purpose this Christmas …

This pretty little blue faceted brad was the perfect embellishment for this 3D snowflake by Tim Holtz…

And I popped up the snowflake on top of a tag, adding a brad to the top, tied with some white baker’s twine…

Snowflake dsp by Stampin Up from my stash made the perfect backdrop, and I added strips of silver mirri and glitter card – a great way to use up your scraps…

I hope you’ve been inspired to join this week’s challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, which runs for 2 weeks until 6th January – remember there are prizes to be won if your card is chosen – more details on the blog.

Enjoy your weekend
