Multi-layered Christmas card

Hello and happy New Year!

Christmas may be over but it’s never too early to start making those special cards for next Christmas. It’s a sketch challenge this week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, and I was so inspired by the very talented Shayne Eddie’s cards on Pinterest that I had to have a go myself…

I created similar elements to the original card but did it to fit the sketch challenge, creating a patterned panel by stamping snowflakes in a random pattern using real red ink and stamp set by Stampin Up.

Layers of interest were achieved by the embossed border and a panel of vellum, which I stamped the greeting onto.

Then layered die cuts and a tied ribbon – it was so much fun!

I love the style of this card and there are lots on Pinterest to be inspired by – why not give it a go?

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week.

Enjoy your weekend
