Masculine Christmas card

Hello and welcome.

The theme challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week is to make a masculine card. I made this card with my husband in mind and just love this cute polar bear image…

The colour scheme was kept simple, with a piece of dsp by Stampin Up in black and white, and a strip of smoky slate textured card, which is a gorgeous soft shade of grey.

The trees were die cut in silver card and adhered along the join between the paper and card.

The polar bear by Sizzix was stamped in black stazon ink, then colour added to the cheeks, ears and scarf with alcohol markers, and adhered to the card.  Finally, a 3d snowflake by Tim Holtz was tucked behind the bear – this wasn’t in my original plan for the design of the card, but it was sitting on my desk from another project and I loved the texture it added.

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge this week.

Enjoy your weekend
