World card making day …

It’s world card making day today, and it just so happens that it is also the birthday of my lovely friend and upline – Michelle Last.  So of course I couldn’t resist getting out my crafting supplies to make this card to send Michelle some birthday greetings, using lots of different products from the quatrefancy suite from Stampin’ Up …

I love this year’s in-colours from Stampin’ Up – they just go so well together – coastal cabana and strawberry slush – yum!  I did a little bit of distressing around the edges of the whisper white cardstock, and then just layered up the other elements with stampin’ dimensionals.

The first Around the World Stampin’ Up Challenges competition closed this week and I was so happy to learn that I won the Readers’ Choice vote for my masculine birthday card!

So a big thank you to everyone who voted for my card – I am delighted and overwhelmed by your comments and support.  Big crafty hugs to you all!

I will wear my badge with pride …

Watercolour mosaic madness bookmark card …

I wanted something a little different to use as a background for a bookmark card, and so had a play with some of the new in-colours from Stampin’ Up, watercolour paper and a spritzer bottle filled with water.  I love the effects I got …

I decorated the inside of the card too …

I love that each card will be unique as each watercolour piece is different.
