Christmas stocking card in red and brown

Hello and welcome.

It’s great to be joining the lovely design team at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown again this week, this time for a colour challenge, where we’ve been challenged to use red and brown together on a card…

I chose to use cherry cobbler and crumb cake cardstock by Stampin’ Up, and a white card base.

The Christmas stocking die by Sizzix was the perfect size for my slimline card.  I stamped the sentiments from Itty Bitty Christmas and So Many Stars stamp sets in early espresso ink, and also lightly sponged the edges of the small tag in the same colour.

Cherry cobbler twine added the perfect hanging opportunity for the stocking, and a tiny wooden close peg helped hang it up, just in time for Santa!

I hope you’ve been inspired to join in the colour challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown – there are only 11 weeks to the big day!

Enjoy your weekend
