More memorable moments – 75th birthday …

Butterflies are so beautiful, whatever age you might be – they are truly one of nature’s beauties. So I chose them as the focal image for this special 75th birthday card ...

Memorable moments for a 75th birthday

I stamped the beautiful butterfly from the best of butterflies stamp set by Stampin’ Up, in black stazon ink onto whisper white card and then coloured it in crisp cantaloupe ink with my aqua-painter, giving a shaded look…

I stamped a sprinkle of dots from the gorgeous grunge stamp set to the background in illuminate ink, which is so soft and subtle but adds a touch of pearlised colour, adding that certain something to the card. Gorgeous grunge is such a versatile set – love it to bits!

My trusty stamp-a-majig helped me to perfectly align the sentiment…

A sprinkling of adhesive pearls added a finishing touch.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and particularly liked water colouring with my inks on the butterflies – very therapeutic indeed!

Meet Mindy, my prima doll …

Happy Monday! The sun is shining, it’s time for summer dresses, and so now for something completely different … meet Mindy, my prima doll…

Prima doll Mindy for Pasha's birthday

Can you fall in love with a paper doll? ‘Cos I think I have!

A very good friend of mine, Joanne, gave me this stamp as a present, as well as a beautiful handmade card, and I just love, love, love her!

Inspired by Joanne’s card, I did some paper-piecing to make a card for my friend’s little girl, Pasha, who turns 9 today …

Pasha has the most gorgeous, dark-brown, curly hair, so I gave the dolly hair just like hers, using chocolate chip polka dot designer series paper (dsp) from Stampin’ Up!, and a pretty dress in sweet sorbet dsp.

It’s a little difficult to tell from the photos, but I added dazzling diamonds glitter to parts of the dress, shoes and flower centres too, for some birthday sparkle …

I stamped flowers from the flower shop and petite petals stamp sets by Stampin’ Up, punched out with the co-ordinating punches, and scattered them around the card.

So a huge thank you to Joanne for my lovely present and card – I love them both to bits, and a big shout out and happy birthday to the lovely Pasha – hope you have a fabulous birthday sweetie.
