A Christmas Engagement …

One of my friends got engaged on Christmas Day!  I am so very happy for them both.

Angela asked me to make her wedding invitations a few weeks ago, but as they planned to make the announcement to their family on Christmas Day, I had to keep mum!  I felt so honoured that I was asked to be part of her special day in this way…

She knew exactly what she wanted – a cream and white colour scheme and ribbon roses …

The cards were all to be hand delivered, so the added dimension wasn’t a problem…

Shimmery white cardstock was used for the base cards,

and the invitation wording was printed onto very vanilla cardstock, and then mounted onto the inside of the gatefold card.

The greeting was stamped using the Wedding Sweet stamp set.

I love the way the ribbon roses turned out…

Tip: to ensure the roses stay adhered to the card, I attached first with a mini glue dot, and then added a few drops of crystal effects under each one and left to dry.

Crystal effects is a very strong adhesive which dries completely clear so won’t spoil your projects, and you can mail your cards with confidence that your embellishments will stay put.

All supplies from Stampin’ Up!

Thanks for dropping by today
