A little bit of glimmer for a sparkling engagement …

It was such a pleasure to make the card I have to share with you today.  I made it for my daughter to send to her friends who just got engaged.

I started with a square card base and some quatrefancy designer series paper – I just love the daffodil delight pattern – I think it is such a gorgeous, bright and cheerful colour.  For the embellishments, I played with different sizes of heart framelits from Stampin’ Up! to cut out the heart from silver glimmer paper …

Silver glimmer Engagement card

I couldn’t find an engagement sentiment in my stash, so used the congratulations from the itty bitty banners set instead.

Finally, I tied a length of whisper white organza ribbon around the card and added a hand-tied bow with mini glue dots. I seriously love this ribbon – it ties so beautifully and sits perfectly on any card.

Here’s what I used to make today’s card – all supplies from Stampin’ Up!:

cardstock: silver glimmer, whisper white; stamp sets: itty bitty banners; inks: basic grey; accessories: stampin’ dimensionals, quatrefancy designer series paper, hearts framelits, bigshot machine, whisper white organza ribbon, mini glue dots.

Thanks for dropping by today
