Folk art Christmas reindeer in blue, kraft and white

Hi, and welcome to my blog.

Another great challenge by Madja today at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown – the colour challenge this month is to use blue, kraft and white …

I am still in love with the folk Christmas stamp and die set by Sizzix – so cute! I used the pretty reindeer from the set and coloured it using 3 shades of blue alcohol markers, and crumb cake ink for his body, which matched the colour to the kraft card base card beautifully …

Just like my last DT card, I made an inky background using tumbled glass distress ink and a blender brush on whisper white card, and then splashed with perfect pearls and water giving a subtle snowy effect, hard to capture in a photo but looks beautiful in real life …

Again, it was hard to show in the photograph, but I added glossy accents to the baubles, and his little nose, for sparkle and shine, and popped him up on dimensionals. Finally, I stacked the sentiment diecuts and adhered them together …

I hope you like my card for this week. The ladies at the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown would love you to join them – do pop by and share your beautiful artwork.
