Spellbinders Joyful Christmas card kit

Hello and welcome. As it’s the first Saturday in October, we have a card sketch for you to follow over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. For my card, I flipped the sketch set by Majda and used die cut images, stamps and paper from the Spellbinders Joyful Christmas card kit …

The kit also included the card base and so many pretty papers it was hard to choose, but in the end I chose this lovely music pattern which I thought went well with the three Nutcracker images, which were popped up on foam tape.

I used my Misti to stamp two of the sentiments included in the kit, using versafine clair nocturne ink.

A little difficult to see in the photographs, I added crystal effects to the boots, belts, crowns and the bow in the ballerina’s hair, and wink of stella to the ballerina’s dress and ballet shoes, and the added sparkle and shine looks so pretty in real life.

I don’t often use pre-made diecuts as I prefer to make my own toppers and decorations, but the images in this kit are so pretty and the colours are so lovely that I just couldn’t resist!

I hope you’ve been inspired to join the challenge this week – we’d love to see what you make.

Enjoy your weekend
