Pop up box card for a Las Vegas wedding …

Hi and welcome to my blog.

It’s been a very exciting time for my daughter and her husband recently – they’ve been to their friends’ wedding in Las Vegas! I was asked to make something special for the happy couple so I chose a pop up box card …

Pop up box cards certainly have the wow factor, like the one I made a few years back for my husband for our silver wedding anniversary, so I knew this was the type of card I would make – all I had to do was decide on the design. From what I’ve been told, both the bride and groom loved it.

The good thing is that this dimensional card folds flat to fit inside a normal sized envelope, but once opened, it pops up to reveal the surprise.  The panel at the back gave ample space for a greeting to be added.

I loved making this one – it was great fun to do. Hope you like it.

Flower daisies and wedding bells …

One of my colleagues got married last Friday. There was a fair few of us who needed to sign the card, so I was asked to make a larger than usual card. Making an A4 size card was quite a challenge!

So I turned to my trusty big shot machine to die cut the flower daises and alphabet letters, and also to emboss the vintage wallpaper border from whisper white cardstock. Heat and stick powder was fab for adding dazzling diamonds to the greeting at the top of the card. It doesn’t show up very well on the photo, but looked so nice in real life, and added a touch of sparkle. Some whisper white organza ribbon and large, flat-backed pearls from the pretties kit completed the card.

 Thanks for dropping by today.
