Wedding stationery …

Owning the beautiful Stampin’ Up products made it easy for me to make all my daughter’s wedding stationery.  With her beach theme in mind, I made the Orders of Service as mini fans for the guests.  I printed the details onto very vanilla cardstock, cut out  with the beautifully shaped framelits and backed this with naturals ivory cardstock stamped using the Open Sea stamp set…

I continued the theme for the table place names, making tags to hang on small bottles of wine for each guest – with shells for the boys…

and pearls for the girls …

And for the wedding favours, I made pillow boxes as these could easily be packed flat for the journey to Malta, and then popped up and filled with the gifts once we arrived…

Each pillow box had a pearl bead attached with crystal effects

(I love this glue!  it’s clear and so strong – those pearls stayed put!)

Luckily, the bride was really happy with everything I made.

Serendipity Valentine …

I love the word serendipity – the word itself sounds so lovely and its meaning is even better – a happy accident.  Today’s card is just that – a happy accident.

I was tidying my craft desk and had lots of scraps left over from other projects.  I don’t know about you, but I hate throwing away my scraps, especially if they are punched shapes ‘cos I always think they’ll come in useful for something.

I just loved these colours together  …

The stamped heart in the centre is from a piece I’d been experimenting with designs for my daughter’s wedding invitations some months ago.   The world and compass stamped images were perfect – my Valentine means the world to me and he is my north, south, east and west … serendipity …
